SPICY STEAK FAJITAS

SPICY STEAK FAJITAS

I really enjoy Mexican cuisine. The flavors are really powerful. If I had to pick just one kind of food to eat for the rest of my life, I have a feeling that Mexican and Indian would be right up there contending for the top place. I like meals that have a strong flavor profile.
These fajitas will not let you down if you are someone who enjoys robust tastes. The spice combination that I use is incredible. It has such a delightfully rich taste! In addition to that, this is such a simple recipe. Because it can be prepared in a short amount of time, it is an excellent choice for supper on a weekday.
The ingredients for creating steak fajitas are straightforward. Indeed, you will need quite a few different spices. But the taste makes it worth it. What you’ll need is listed below:
  • Bell peppers; I used 3 large-sized cut-into strips.
  • Sliced onion; I used a large one.
  • 2 Pounds.Of top sirloin steak – cut into thin strips.
  • 2 Tbsp.Of avocado oil.
  • To Season the meat, you’ll need:
  • 1 Tsp.Of sea salt.
  • ¼ Tsp.Of black pepper.
  • 2 Tbsp.Of chili powder.
  • 1 Tsp.Of smoked paprika.
  • 1 Tsp.Of garlic powder.
  • ½ Tsp.Of dried oregano.
  • ½ Tsp.Of red pepper flakes.
DIRECTIONS:
  • Step 1 – Prepare the seasoning by combining all of the ingredients in a low-sided bowl. You may combine them in two different bowls; one dish will be used to season the vegetables, while the other bowl will be used to season the meat.
  • Step 2 – About two minutes should be spent heating the oil in a big, deep pan over medium-high heat. In a large bowl, combine the bell peppers, onions, and half of the spices. Cook over medium heat, turning often, until vegetables are almost soft, approximately 5 minutes. Put the veggies on a platter when you have removed them.
  • Step 3 – In the same pan, brown the steak slices and season them with the other spices. Stir fry for three to four minutes, or until the food is no longer raw. At this time, the meat does not need to be cooked all the way through. After you put the veggies back in the pot, the cooking will be finished.
  • Step 4 – It is time to put the veggies back into the pan. Stir fry everything together until it is completely cooked through, which should take an additional one to two minutes.
  • Step 5 – At this stage, if the skillet has a lot of liquids and you want to thicken them, you may turn the heat down to medium and toss in a cornstarch slurry that is composed of one tablespoon of cornstarch combined with one and a half teaspoons of cold water.
  • Step 6 – Continue to cook for approximately one more minute, or until the liquids reach the desired consistency. On the other hand, this is completely voluntary.
