HOW TO MAKE CHEESE DANISH

This recipe for cream cheese Danishes is a breeze to put up and works as well for breakfast or dessert. Puff pastry that is crisp on the outside and flaky on the inside, filled with sweetened cream cheese filling in the shape of a danish, baked, and finished with a sugar glaze; so simple and yet so scrumptious!

INGREDIENTS LIST:

1 Pkg.Of puff pastry – thawed.

An 8-oz block.Of cream cheese – at room temp.

1/3 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

1 small spoon.Of vanilla extract.

1/3 Cup.Of powdered sugar.

1½ small spoon.Of whole milk.

A whole beaten egg.

1 small spoon.Of water.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper and turn the oven temperature up to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2nd Step

Mix the cream cheese at room temperature, the sugar, and the vanilla extract in a bowl using a mixer until everything is incorporated.

3rd Step

Unfold the sheets of dough and cut them into nine squares. Proceed with the second sheet in the same manner.

4th Step

Place the cream cheese mixture in the center of each of the 18 squares after dividing it equally among the squares.

5th Step

Fold in half over the cream cheese, then bring the two opposing corners to meet in the center, and pinch the seam to close it. Continue in this manner with all of the danishes.

6th Step

Place on the baking sheet, then use the egg wash to brush the tops of the dough. bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.

7th Step

After they have been baked, the pastries need to be allowed to cool.

8th Step

Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until a thick glaze is formed. When they have cooled, sprinkle over the pastries, and then serve.
